We’re Meredith and Shea, the co-founders of Mad Martian Cannabis Farms, a Las Cruces-based cannabis farm inspired by our love of growing, creativity, community, and of course a little fascination with the unknown.

The name Mad Martian was born from our longtime fascination with UFOs and the imaginative art and culture surrounding them. When we discovered New Mexico, we immediately felt inspired by its incredible landscapes, vibrant colors, unique culture, and, most importantly, its people. It felt like the perfect place to begin our next chapter.

Our journey into cannabis started years ago in Oregon’s medical cannabis market. After an opportunity brought us to New Mexico, what began as a consulting project quickly turned into something much bigger. We realized that coming back to growing cannabis full-time was exactly where we wanted to be and Mad Martian was born.

For us, cannabis has always been about more than simply growing a product. It’s about the people behind it, the people who enjoy it, and the community that makes it possible. We take pride in growing with intention and treating every plant with the care and attention it deserves. Our flower is truly our pride and joy, and we’re constantly exploring new genetics, cultivation techniques, and ways to make every harvest better than the last.

Being a small, local cannabis farm comes with its challenges. New Mexico’s weather can keep us on our toes, and the industry is constantly evolving. But those challenges have pushed us to stay creative, adaptable, and committed to doing things the right way. We’re also proud to work with local talent whenever possible. Our employees and community partners bring perspectives and knowledge that make Mad Martian better every day.

We’re especially grateful to be part of the New Mexico community. Giving back, supporting local organizations, and finding ways to help women, children, and families in our community are important parts of who we are. We believe that when local businesses succeed, the communities around them should benefit too.

At the end of the day, Mad Martian is about growing great cannabis while creating something meaningful along the way. We’re proud of where we’ve come from, excited about where we’re going, and we’re just getting started.
